My allegiance is not to Truth but to Fiction. Truth has disappointed me far too often, so I have begun disregarding it for what I would like to be, which is more often than not complete Fiction, and this fiction makes me happy, such as the idea that I 'can' save the world.

It is good to be able to take care of yourself, better to be able to take care of your family, and better yet to be able to take care of your nation. Best, however, is to be able to take care of the whole world, and any person who does not try to save the world is poor on ambition, I always say.

But sometimes I have felt that I can not really save the world, that I can only try, and actually success is not as important, for me, as it is to be trying to achieve it.

But no, the truth of my life is that I have been able to do very little for the world, for my country, for my family and even for myself, but still I would like to believe that I could, just as I would like to believe certain things about love.

One: Love is about distance and observation, not about embraces and sensation. An example of this would for instance be how the thought of someone close to you when they are actually far can be so much stronger than their actual presence.

Two: Love is something that can change but never disappear, and if it disappears then it was not love but some for of an infatuation. I do not know how many you can fall in love with (and according to this it would be unfortunate to be in love with more than one) but at least, yes, if it is love then you shall know nothing else, this shall be both your gift and your curse.

So yes, fiction.

It is wonderful.
